(updated 24/3/20) ...
Given the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and the policy of impending lockdowns of parts of the Australian community across the coming months, on 3rd March 2020 we formally activated our quality control procedures on dealing with such events as part of our Business Continuity and Disaster Avoidance/Recovery process.
Further to this, we took the socially responsible path early and have moved all staff to work remotely.
Our capacity for staff to work remotely is second-to-none with all of our intellectual property, tools, and hosting assets being accessible via VPN through our office, which includes carrier-grade fibre and top-notch firewall/VPN hardware.
In reality, the only reason that we haven't routinely allowed staff to work from home for the majority of the time is that we like the culture and the "magic sauce" of having experts in the same room to discuss and collaborate with their colleagues in an organic way.
Video calling & team meetings via video have quickly become a comfortable new way for us to interact, so we are finding that our "magic sauce" is still very much alive and the throughput and quality of our work remains at our usual high levels.
Whilst it's otherwise business as usual to us, we are not currently taking any in-person meetings with clients or potential clients - however we do we have a large set of tools with which we can meet you virtually to discuss your needs and work through any requirements or inquiries you have. These include phone, email, Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, or just about any other voice/video/text chat service known to humankind!
I am posting this, in part, to let the rest of our community and clients know that we are being proactive in practicing socially responsible corporate behaviour (and encouraging the same in our staff, of course), whilst providing the very best continuous support for all of our clients.
Please feel free to reach out if you need any help with business continuity or workflow strategies or with setting up remote work practices/hardware etc.
We are part of our local, national, and international community - and we're here to help.
